| Summary
We believe that the Craik Sustainable Living Project has the potential
to be a leading example for communities seeking to move into a new
period of revitalization and sustainability. Craik is very accessible
being strategically located close to the major centres of Regina,
Moose Jaw and Saskatoon. A successful working model of rural sustainability
in southcentral Saskatchewan serves as a catalyst for other innovations
throughout the Province and Canada. The full scope of this project
has the potential to generate significant impact nationally and internationally.
We realize that this is an ambitious project for a rural community,
but history shows Craik to be progressive in terms of addressing challenges
in innovative ways. We are also looking to partner with other interested
communities in the region. There has already been considerable interest
and support expressed by individuals, families and businesses from
across Canada.
